Good fats and bad fats

Western populations appear to have developed a kind of obsession with fat.
Often people will lose weight or eating healthier, trying to eliminate almost entirely from your diet.
But if you analyze some of the healthiest diets, such as the Mediterranean, it turns out that actually are quite rich in fat.
Fats can be divided into good and bad.

The good fats are essential to our body because they have an important role in energy production and also for immune function, are also useful to improve the health of skin and hair.
The bad fats but are practically useless for our body.
We commonly say good fats, unsaturated fats: oils, fats, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats.
Generally, at room temperature are in liquid form, and rancid if not stored properly, because they are chemically very sensitive.
These substances are needed both as an energy source, is as indispensable to extract energy from other foods.
They are contained mainly in olive oil, dried fruits, eggs, ’sesame seed oil and sunflower oil in fatty fish like mackerel, fresh tuna, salmon and sardines.
The good fats also have the advantage of speeding up the metabolism, because of their ability to compete to produce energy.
