They seek to reduce deaths from accidents crossing

Roughly 1.3 million of people die annually because of crossing accidents, according to data handled by the World Health Organization (WHO) on its website. With the large number of deaths that occur each year in road accidents, it was resolved to declare a “Decade of Action for Road Safety” for, among other things, trying to figure significantly lower death.

An interesting debate on road safety have been made in the context of the General Assembly of the United Nations. The same was done last Tuesday, March 2 in the City of New York, United States.
