Baseball, a competitive sport of skill played with a hard ball and bat between two teams of nine players each. It is considered the national sport in the U.S. due to its strong tradition and great popularity, also played in many parts of the world by people of all ages, required certain Baseball Equipment to play it.
Baseball is one of the oldest and most popular sports. The game, as it is known today, developed between children and amateur players in early 1800. Professional baseball in the United States each year attracts millions of spectators to the stadiums and entertains millions more through radio and television.
How to Play Baseball
A baseball game is divided into nine periods of play, each of whom is called inning. The team scoring the most runs over nine innings wins the game. The game begins when a player named pitcher or pitcher, throws the ball toward the batter of the opposing team who tries to hit (hitting with the bat) the ball into the pitch. Players score runs by hitting the ball and running around a series of bases, before they remove a player of the opposing team. Batters and runners can be removed in different ways.
The entries are divided into two halves, called the beginning and end of entry. During the beginning of an inning, one team bats while the other is in the field. When the batting team has three players eliminated, the two teams swap roles and start the end of an inning. If the result remains tied at the end of nine innings, both teams continue to play until the end of one or more additional entries, one scored more runs than the other.
The field
Baseball is played on a level field, which normally occupies about 0.8 hectares. The playing field is divided into internal or infield and outfield extracampo or, these two areas together constitute the area good or fair, while the rest of the field is called bad or foul area.
The infield is a square-shaped area called ‘diamond’, 27 m from the side, one of whose corners are marked by a piece of rubber, irregular pentagon shape, called home plate or goal. The hitters, depending on your preferences, hit the ball from a position on the right or left of the goal.
In the other three corners of the internal field from the target moving in the opposite direction clockwise, are the first, second and third bases, each marked with a pad. The baseball team
A baseball team has nine players on the field, where each is responsible for a particular position. The pitcher puts the ball in play by throwing to the goal. Every shot is called release. Holding the ball in a special way and adjusting their effects, the launchers can perform a variety of pitches, combining these techniques with speed changes in the release, to make it harder for the batters hit the ball. The receiver or catcher receives the ball and returns it to the pitcher unless the batter hit the ball before achieved. The receiver also supports the goal when a runner tries to score a run.
The players at first base, second base and third base are located on a base or near it, while the shortstop is between the second and third base. They are responsible for catching the ball when batted or infield to the internal field and to eliminate when trying to move runners around the diamond. Three outfielders are located outdoors or individually in the right field, center field and left field, responsible for catching balls hit into the outfield or extracampo.
While one team is in the field, another makes his turn to bat: A player after another, according to a previously specified order. The rules vary slightly hitting the big leagues. In the National League, the pitcher is also a hitter, while in the American League, a player, called the designated hitter, batting in place of the pitcher. American amateur baseball
The baseball fan is the oldest form of organized baseball, serving as base for the top professional teams. Today, many institutions continue to sponsor youth and school leagues and amateur baseball teams from which emerged many of the best professional baseball players.
Among the most common league amateur baseball are those organized for young people. The Little League Baseball, established in 1939, is an organization that promotes baseball programs in communities in many countries. Youth aged 6 to 18 can play in this league. Each year we celebrate the Little League World Series (World Series Little League) in Williamsport (Pennsylvania), where he founded the Little League.
Many schools and colleges have baseball teams formed by players who are students and usually play during the spring against other teams in their district. Professional baseball clubs are recruiting the best players from schools and universities.
