Toyota provides much needed solution to an edition of gas pedal almost four million Toyota and Lexus models. This fixes the problem of the gas pedal being taken on the car floor mats. Huge problem – huge solution.

Details include:
Toyota Redesigns the accelerator pedal to address the risk of entrapment carpet, even when an older design of the carpet or any season other inappropriate carpets are improperly attached or placed on top of another carpet. On ES350, Camry and Avalon models, Toyota remodeled the floor to increase the space between the gas pedal and the floor.

Carpets Any existing season will receive the replacement driver – and passenger side front mats all season.

Toyota will also install a brake flout the system in specific Camry, Avalon Lexus ES350, IS350 and IS250 models too. (If the gas pedal and brake are supported at the same time – the power of the engine will be cut)

The owners of the ES350, Camry and Avalon will be informed by the end of the year with details of these changes, the lines of vehicles needing additional solutions will be implemented next year.
